Find your way to the Calico Rocks Hiker/Biker campsite along the C&O Canal Towpath at mile marker 47.6. An excellent source of information about the entire C&O Towpath can be found at the Bike Washington website at http://bikewashington.org/canal/index.htm.

Once in the Calico Rocks Hiker/Biker campsite you should stand on the flat stump. Look back at the towpath and find a box in the base of the angled tree.

Enjoy the beautiful area.. especially good on hot days, the shaded path keeps the temperature much cooler than you might expect.
